DITALIA began in 1987 as a local wholesaler and distributor of fine Italian foods supplying fine foods to the infamous Italian section of St. Louis, the Hill. In 1997, founders Vincenzo Di Piazza and his son Vince, Jr. wanted to bring the family business into the 21st century. They created an online marketplace for Italian gourmet food specialties, reaching not only their devoted clientele in St. Louis but also food lovers worldwide!
Over the years, the DITALIA family has grown as brothers, sisters, cousins and children have all poured their sweat into the growth of the DITALIA mission. It is this family dedication that has kept DITALIA a favorite for each one of our customers and why we continue to work so hard to provide the best products in the industry supported by the best customer support of any Italian retail company.
Today, as DITALIA celebrates its 10th anniversary of online selling, it makes the next step in providing excellent customer service and superior Italian products. With the introduction of an all new marketplace and a wider selection of products, our consumers are able to enjoy a never before seen range of goods; all without leaving their home.
The tradition continues in the future as the DITALIA family continues to search out new manufacturers and products to deliver the same quality and dedication that we have been giving since 1987.
